What we do & how we give

Addressing a fresh approach to charitable giving, the Foundation does not just make donations but actively works alongside its charities, monitoring progress and constantly agreeing on new targets and how their realisation should be defined. Funds will often be granted for the achievement of a specific aim.

Campaigns are generally brought to the Foundation's attention by personal recommendation. Following this, a member of the Foundation will organise a site visit to assess how best the cause can be helped.

Asked for the criteria brought to bear when determining whether a cause is worthy of funding, Neil Bruce Copp OBE responds: "Although at first glance the charitable organisations that the NBC Winner Foundation has funded appear quite diverse, all have one thing in common - they are championed by truly inspirational people who have fought for their beliefs despite very little support or recognition. Similarly the stories we have encountered of their beneficiaries have been ones of courage and determination. It has been our privilege to work with such amazing people and to support every cause we have funded."
