About Neil Bruce Copp

What led you to become involved in such extensive charitable work?

I am grateful to say that I have had the opportunities and good fortune in life to make a success of my businesses and I believe that it is my privilege to be in the position to give something back to those who have been less fortunate.

Why is it that you concentrate on supporting children's charities?

Because I feel strongly that people should be given every chance, to have as much as possible a fulfilling life. Children are full of potential, they are the future of our society and they are also among the most vulnerable.

Children are also very inspirational and humbling to work both for and with, they are full of hope, determination and lack self pity. I am grateful to say that through my work with children's charities I gained insight into some truly remarkable people.

What would you say that you gain on a personal level from your charitable work?

Tremendous satisfaction when our aims are achieved. The chance to make a difference to the lives of people that I have such admiration for. It is often embarrassing to be recognised for charitable work when I gain so much from working with such inspiring people, as I said, it is my privilege.
